I'm a hotel guy too, maybe there will be a best western close by haha. Camping my entire childhood for entire summers on end has made me appreciate the outdoors moreso than like it.

I camp all the time in my other car and in summer, but for this, I'll just bring a tent.

I could hotel it too, but I'd rather not pay for a shitty hotel and spend it on beer.

Ditto. It's only one night, seriously. Worst case scenario you have the worst sleep of your life... w/e.

I've already had the worst sleep of my life in a 85 accord just above freezing so I'm up for camping.

Lets do banff for us skyline owners who arent from alberta or BC. Theres at least 3 of us regina guys that are interested in making the drive. And im sure theres more from saskatchewan that could do a drive to banff. Some of us have built cars that are awful on gas

Its all tied up now. I agree on banff. obviously its convenient for me lol but that aside, its skymeet west, not skymeet bc. Driving from Saskatchewan to shushwap is pretty far. Banff is right in the middle as far as bc/alberta/sask

EDIT: I guess shushwap won lol

It all hinges on the camping situation. The only thing that sucks about Banff is the anal retentive park wardens and the fact that it doesn't matter what the daytime temp was, the nite will be colder than a witches tit.

At least at the 'Swap you know the nite will be warm and the lake will too. I vote for the Shu' (not just because it's close, my car actually gets really good mileage on the hiway).

I think for this year Shuswap seems like the vote of choice, Sask seems more central than west, but if they want to come out this year then next year we might plan it a bit farther east.

Shuswap seems as close to in the middle as we can get, I think that's what we'll end up doing....but we'll see

There's a provincial park at Shuswap for camping. I've been there quite a few times and it's really gorgeous. There's go karts, ice cream, mini golf, and bumper boats all within a 10 min drive from the park. If people are planning on camping there then you have to book really soon as it fills up fast. I'm not sure where in Shuswap you guys are planning on having this, but I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents.
