I've been on this board for a while now, but haven't gone to a meet yet..although I have bumped into GTRCers here and there at random car related events. If a meet is held in Abby at some point, I'll definitely be there.

I scouted a nice road last night with M13 since I felt like going for a drive. It's a bit of a drive to get to, but well worth it I think. Some great twisties out in the boonies away from civilization. I'm down to do the run this Thursday if you guys are. I discussed this road with Matt before. There's some really really nice corners in there... If you haven't felt your hicas yet you will then.
The only segregation there will be the fast cars from the slow

It's a decent route. Probably 20mins from A&W. One that we don't need to necessarily share with those with the pretty red and blue lights that have been known to read meet threads...

Hmm. Unfortunately, my current car wouldn't be able to keep up. Also, it doesn't like the idea of stopping. And it'd probably run out of gas about 5 minutes into a spirited drive.

It's not SFU. SFU is like 5 minutes from A&W (I lived there for 4 years while I went to school). And there's no good roads up there.... There's two good corners.
I may have under-estimated the distance, but it is a cruise afterall. What's 30 minutes of cruising for some good corners? the cruise is a good route which I enjoyed last summer quite a bit.
careful though, more cops have been put to use on DTR recently, and the traffic has increased.Comment
