So where are you guys getting painted now?

So now that MW Racing is no longer, where is the current good paint deal? I need the Miata painted and so far have found a place called A-Class Paint and Body in Surrey. I was quoted $1200 for a base/clear with a single pass over prep (blocking once). And no other major body work.

1200 for a full exterior paint job is a ridiculous good deal. I work at a paintshop and we charge 2500-3000. All depends on how much you want to spend and if there's any damage anywhere that needs to be fixed. Blocking isn't needed unless theres bodywork needed. A good paintjob should atleast 2 coats of base and 2 full wet coats of clear, and usually they'll wetsand the whole car down once more after clear and re-clear over one more time to give you that clean deep depth look. =)

a friend of mine got her del sol painted at A-Class aswell before she sold it. Sounds like a good deal to me.

I never had an issue with the work they did..

i have a new paint place in Richmond that i use for ICBC work..

to be honest im not sure, but hey i see a bunch of broke ass drifters with new paint on there cars, so i guess they cant me that bad.

I wasn't able to see it in person before she sold it, but from pictures i saw it was pretty clean. However it was just a respray over her faded scratched up paint though.. her red del sol looked as clean and glossy as Canadianjoker's display pic lol, in contrast to the dull red you would normally see around on del sols.

I might try OZ but autozone or A class should be closer for me.

I may go to OZ. A bit more $ that I want to spend. I may just rip my bumpers, trim and window seals out and go to A-Class.

OZ is where its at, steve is a classy guy, doesnt beat around the bush, im gonna be going there for sure..great prices
