  • Edmonton alberta shops an service,

So ive been callig around for work to be done om my rb26 in the edmonton surrounding areas ,
There are very few shops in edmonton tht u can call n get a set price on the work, i know that thats a bit much asking for a finished price befor they even start, im fine with just a ruff est, but what really geta to le is when u call for a quote then they wont tell u a qote just confuse u an in end they wont touch unless its bare with is bs. If a customer ask for a service an is willig to pay for it to be done dont u think that would include dissasemby an reassembly ??, most shops in edmonton that ive delt with seem to be half asses ( sumarus been the bery worst) recomended over sumarus is ( speedtech) they are good resonable an the owner or part owner jesse is a good dude, other then that ive called pre much every other well talked about tuning shop in the area they all seem to be same quality shitty,,

Good shops to try in edmonton,,, Bel machineing, (les he is the magican hes theeee best hands down)
Speed tech - jesse anything i couldnt figure out or do he can ,
T-t automotie - terance is really good to ask h anything he will give u a good decent answer to the problem

Any one else have any positive pr negative feeb back on edmonton shops

Dude take a second and learn to type/spell.

That being said, I've heard good things about lightspeed in red deer, although they are not cheap. I had a bad experience with auto dream in Calgary but a few guys really like them.

I've done work in the past on Skylines at the shop where I work, it's not an easy car to work on and be profitable. You have to keep in mind that unless you are willing to pay me or another tech $120/hour to swap out your turbos for example, nobody's gonna touch it. I have done clutches, timing belts, cams, motor swaps, tranny swaps, electrical, etc and to be honest there is no "book time" available for these jobs, so how are we supposed to give you an estimate when we have no idea how long the job is supposed to take?
The other headache is finding parts, unless you have everything already.
Now I basically work on Skylines on the side for cash, no time restraints and no boss looking over your shoulder. It's also a lot less stressful not tying up a shop hoist @$1500/day

Its tough lol believe me...when I had my 32 gtr like 5yesrs ago I took my car to sumarus and told them that I think the intercooler piping had a hole in it n $1300 later and 10hrs of labour they tell me oh there was a hole in the fmc piping lol wtf. They changed tons of parts and cleaned a crapload of stuff which didn't make sense! Ever since then I've been doing everything myself and friedns help when needed. Nersan I'm talking bout you haha. Like voodoo child said unlike japan there is no books for times ect so its not easy.

Bs like that comes with the territory of owning a rhd but you learn to deal with it n it gets easier.

Raymond at Silverstone ( now silverzink ) has treated me extremely well, he's the guy bel sends our heads to, the only thing about Raymond is he has a recipe he follows and if you wanna stray from that he kinda gives you a hard time
