That's all you need for a land crossing. Passport is better for a smooth crossing but not mandatory....yet.

hmm sounds interesting.. how long is the event, just a day? I would have to take time off work. being north island, its like a 6 hour drive. i could take sat-mon off work.

well I know the couple others from the island are staying somewhere close to the border on our side...

my girlfriend and I are staying at her aunts house in langley about 15 mins from the border , I will be meeting up with the other island people early sunday morning.

we are catching the 6pm ferry saturday night from victoria to van.

So I've managed to misplace my passport...... Unfortunately I'll be not attending, or I will try and cross with birth certificate, drivers license, yada yada yada
