Want to rent an exotic car in Vancouer or Calgary?

But nothing seems to exist, at least in Vancouver, at this point in time.

That could soon change. I am considering opening a Exotic Car Rental company in Vancouver, with the idea of expanding to Calgary shortly thereafter. I wanted some feedback from car enthusiasts on what their thought were. The proposed car line-up would start with 6 vehicles... 2 exotics, 2 luxury sedans and 2 luxury SUV's.

If anyone wants to complete a short 10 question survey to help me get some insight into the market, it would be much appreciated. Vancouver Dream Cars is a couple spoiled kids who rent out mom and pops cars. They don't have proper insurance and could find themselves in hot water. Furthermore, they have been "awaiting" the Gallardo since before my wedding over a year ago. Oh, did I mention I tried to rent either car for my wedding and had no luck? I'm not worried about that becoming anything major at this rate...

Vancouver Car Club doesn't do daily rentals. You pay an initiation fee ($20,000?) and annual fee to have access to their suite of cars. A very cool idea if you have the money. Not sure if they're still running or not since they wouldn't respond to any emails when I was trying to get information or see if they would make an exception and rent on a daily basis for my wedding...

The last actual luxury car rental company I am aware of in Vancouver that offered anything resembling this type of service was Prestige Exotics or something along those lines. They had a matte black Gallardo, Maserati Quattroporte and a few others. Turns out they were accused of using it as a money laundering front for drug money and shut down. Those are only accusations of course, but they are out of business regardless.

Affinity Car Rentals based out of Oakville and Toronto are contemplating both launches to Calgary and Vancouver. Calgary first, according to people I've spoken with at the company.
