How much does your car weigh?

I filled my car up with fuel, and went to the local dump to see what the actual weight was. I was pleasently surprised.

1560kg or 3440lbs

subtract 65kg (65L of fuel) Me (80kg)

and the car itself only weighs

1415kg or 3120lbs

I was expecting it to be more. Has anyone weighed theirs?

I was down to 2580 last weigh, but the cage wasn't in the car then.

how gutted are we talking about here. the only thing not in my car is the spare tire and 90% of the Hicas removed.

My car weighed in at 3106lbs with me in it.

1320kg/2904lb in "race trim"

Was without passanger seat or rear seats, some interior trim, pass. seatbelt, rear wing, fender liners, front airdam, one headlight, the grille, rear bumper (possibly front bumper, I forget when I put it back in) and the exhaust after the downpipe. No spare tire/jack/carpeting in the trunk. I would think all that crap together weighs 100+lbs, maybe even 200+.


I think it had almost no fuel in it, but would have had a full meth tank (12L of methanol) and ofc full of oil.

These cars are not nearly as heavy as alot of people think they are.


Your GTR only holds 65L of fuel?

My old blue GTR with a gutted trunk and no spare tire weighed 3200lbs. That is with A/C in.

These cars are light for what they are considering a 300zx weighs close to 3800lbs and an AWD dodge stealth is also around the 3800lb mark.

mcfly, that is amazing. I knew your car was gutted but I had no idea it was possible to get a GTR that light. I will have to check it out again next summer.

because his gtr is so godlike that it cant be captured by any camera known to man. sortof like how you cant see vampires in the mirror
