  • GTR replacement badges

I'm currently getting my GTR re painted so I took off the rear GTR badge and it is faded and looks like crap. I see them all the time on ebay but I want to make sure its a real one not a fake. Any ideas?

A real one runs around $80 USD I think. I got tired of getting mine stolen (twice) so I went to ebay cheap plastic ones that look real for $5 each. Now I've gone sleeper/badgeless.
      No build thread.

well, it's not functionable or anything.. it just sits there.. so if it's cheap and looks great, why not? it's not important like your suspension or anything lol.

It's a little bit too cheap to be an OEM badge!
Notice the seller is covering the part number in all the pictures!

I have an extra OEM Emblem for the R32 GT-R and it cost me 5000 yen. And that was a deal because most places would sell it for 7000 yen and up.

                        notice the difference?

the "GT" part and "R" part are connected by a body coloured portion that's solid. This is for the R32 anyway, i think the R33 & R34 differ.

If you notice you'll see a difference in the lettering size aswell. The G is way "fatter" in that ebay badge than on the OEM 32 badge. But again there might be a difference between 32s and 34s, but I tried looking at some pictures of 34s, and they look the same.

Unless you park in a SECURE SINGLE CAR GARAGE everywhre you go, get the knock-off and call it a day, because eventually, I am sure even IT will get stolen.

Want to impress the 'Fanbois' and keep in their good graces, keep a spare authentic OEM one in your pocket that you can stick it on for Meets and shows so that no one calls you an Ebay scab

All three different GTR Chassies got different GTR badges with different part numbers.
                              R34: 84896-AA400
                              R33: 84896-24U00
                              R32: 84896-05U01

The R32 GTR badge came body colored.
The R33 GTR badge only came with the black inner color
The R34 GTR badge came with most of the inner plastic removed so you could see the body color underneeth.
