  • Suspension choice?

I'm looking to get new suspension in this month for my BNR32, what suspension have you guys used and would recommend? Car will be mostly used on the track, and not daily driven, so bias toward track use. Ideal price range is around $2000.

    Any input is appreciated!

Buy my JIC's (shameless plug..), then get the Nismo circuit link sets. They are perfect for track duty.

What are your spring rates? Is there a specific JIC model, or do they just make one?

I need to upgrade and these might be the right ones!

HKS hypermax II with nismo circuit links...Unbelievable suspension. Super tight but when ur driving over small humps you don't feel it =/ Hard to explain. Like its firm but still dampens small bumps. Definitely for track duty though.

Spend abit more money and get yourself some Aragosta coilovers. Hands down BEST coilover ever. There is nothing fro m the market like HKS, Teins can compare with it. They provide stock rides quality with superb handling over corners. I've drove alot of different skylines with different susupension set up. I can say these are the best coilovers for track/street.

I used the TEIN Super Racing Coilovers on my GT-R. Great setup for track or street. Kobayashi San from MCR uses this setup on his GT-R.

What spring rates do you run?
              Is damping adjustable or fixed?
If fixed, is there a GTR-specific spec you can ask for?

              Thx,

Any of the big manufacturers offer great suspension packages, HKS, Tein, Ohlins, Buddy Club, Blitz, Aragosta, Cusco etc. There are lots of options for under $2000 CAD. Please PM me for a full pricing list, or to discuss options for your application.

Personally, I use HKS Hipermax II with full front and rear Nismo link kits. The car is a bit hard on street surfaces (I love it, but my wife doesn't) but has great performance on the track.

Aragosta has a bunch of different options, including custom built coilovers to your specs. I can get more info and pricing if you wish GTR-Dad.

                    That'd be great Daryl,
I'm looking for spring rates in the (from memory) 5/6 kg/mm rear and 7/8 kg/mm, but would want to get solid numbers before ordering. Input from the supplier based on their experience would be welcome.

Spring rates are custom order and they will have custom valving for your specific rates. Their are std and comfort model as well and std spring rates is 7k/5k if I remember correctly. They are also 12way damping adjustable but you also custom ordered with 256 combination of damping adjustable with bound/rebound. I haven't order mind yet as I still thinking what kind of spring rates I should go with.
