Launching my ~400hp DSM wasn't hard. Press gas pedal to floor. wait several seconds. remove foot from clutch pedal reasonably quickly (not a dump, but close)

going beyond that may be a totally different skill, but it might not...

Launching my GTR properly and making it not spin the tires or bog took a lot of pratice to accomplish, but once you get the hang of it it's not that hard. And I'd actually say is similar, but I didn't have a two step.

Also, my DSM broke transmissions montlhly, whereas the skyline seems to be more of an annual basis.

the high HP dsm's are stupidly violent off the line. I'm not sure what the point of that is.

When I watch my friends 9.0 second (manual trans) camaro launch it happens really fast but it's almost graceful in comparison.

I had the car out for an hour or so tonite for the first time in a while and did nothing but practice launches. I must have done 20 of them to try and get the sweet spot in the clutch slip/keep it up on boost area. Every one was 7000rpm+ on a fairly sticky road on private land. Not track sticky but almost (I have my own VHT and sprayed out 60ft or so).

My G-tech spat back consistant 1.4 sec. 60fts. Stock front diff. Now all I have to do is repeat that on a real track.

On a side note, my brand new Nismo 1.5way Front Diff should be here in a few days

          Nice!

Yup, I'm trying to vastly improve on the not so stellar 11.20. With that mph I should be well into the 10's. Once I can run her out the back door at 1.5bar and 132ish mph I should be able to pull a 10.50 out of my butt.

There are a lot of dudes with American iron running mid 9's at 132mph. ET is not a GTR's fortie. MPH is though......
