youll break something else if you dont have flex that's for sure... imagine all the weight of your exhause about 6 feet long underneath your car with nothing to dampen the "bucking" of your engine...

I've had no issues for 5 years with my no flex trust downpipe.

when we build downpipes, we put a flex in 1 down pipe... usually the front pipe though... but we also utalize the factory rear mounts and mount the exhaust as well as the down pipe to it with rubber insulators... have yet to see one crack...

i always put a flex pipe in customers' exhausts, even if it's just a small one. it's just safer
I've been brushing my teeth with jack but it's resulted in terrible amounts of tooth decay.

i also have the trust MX downpipe which doesnt have a flex joint... don't forget the entire exhaust is hung from the body of the car with those rubber attachments...

i havent had any problems in 4 years of no flex down pipes (2 years from each of my cars).... its a logical claim that tyndago makes... but i still maintain that as long as the exhaust is hung correctly using those rubber things.. its fine.

i sincerely doubt a huge company like "Trust/Gredd" would make something that would damage a car.

I've had the Trust Extension Front Pipe which doe snot have flex, and there are no problems at all. IIRC only HKS has flex pipes.

Why use a downpipe with flex when you can have this

Because my downpipe has flex, that means flex is waaaaaay better than non-flex and because mine is Nismo, that means Nismo is the best. If you show me scientific proof to the contrary, I will just shout you all down, until I think I am right cause I said it louder.

Yup, sure is. Its only shiny cause it hasn't been on a car since I took some parts cleaner to it haha.

I don't really think you will notice a huge difference from one aftermarket downpipe to the next, flex or not. I just like mine cause it looks cool! (Hardcore ricer!!! lol)
