Spool rpm is not a bad indicator of how well a turbo 'fits' an application, but what you really care about is throttle response and torque. You can retard timing to send more energy to the turbos and make boost earlier, but if it doesn't result in more torque, and preferably (in my world) closer to the time I opened the throttle, what have you gained? (Answer is manifold pressure.)
Torque comes on linearly and reaches a very usable threshold by about 4000 rpm on my setup. The -7 turbos would probably sharpen response and come on even earlier.

OK I understand! So the torque only start at 4k rpm? I wanted to buy turbos soon. So, I guess I will start doing my homework.. -5 , -7 or gt-ss( akak 2530)

These turbos cant be compared this simply. Hks 2530 and ss are far different from the garret counterpart. Center section, material, blade pitch, spool characteristics ,even housings. Garret list specs for all there turbos on there web site for reference as does hks. Sorry to be technical here....

Lol yes I agree completely, in hindsight it would have been better to say
              GT2860r-5 ≈ GT2530 and so on.

Torque is over 300 ft.lbs by 4000 rpm or so.

The 2 brands are not to be compared... I agree with you. As far as flow and HP rating, they can be compared a bit... Meaby not a orange vs orange scenario but it can give a consumer a good ideal...

Those look more like HKS GT-SS to me than GT2860R-5.
