  • Any good tuners around Toronto?????

I have a 1991 GTR. I rebuilt the motor with wisco pistons. I also rebuilt the turbos. The car is running stock boost however, I do have a Blitz twin sbc boost controller. All the injectors and coilpacks are stock same for the ECU.
I would like to get a little more out of the car with what I have. I'm looking to see what my options are in the Toronto are as far as tuning goes.
    Any ideas????

Try PUR auto as well. Radek has tuned many skylines, including mine quite well.

Stock ECU cant really be tuned easily, I'd suggest looking for an aftermarket ECU, (AEM, Power FC, Haltech, ballin Motec lol)
Call Sasha at SG if you want a sic tune, sg-motorsports.com

Go to Manny at Federal, Stay away from SG he is very good at building car but he has no idea what he is doing with tunning. I speak from experience he builds race cars not street cars there is a big difference. Dont waste your money with SG go to Manny and do it right. There is 4-5 situations i have known personaly that Sasha has ripped people off or just done a quick street tune and said it was a full tune but he "forgot" to get a dyno sheet.

Stock ECU can be modifed with Nistune to be retuneable (reflashed like modern stock ECU's) anytime you want. They used factory ECU in 640hp (at engine) Group-A R32GTR racecars, so it's more than capable when tuned properly.

Both Federal and Pur have great reputations, Pur has a dyno as well, which could come in handy during tuning.

Its because sg doesn't like to deal with people who beat around the bush. At sg you pay good money for excellent work period. If your cheap go somewhere else.

man sg just likes to charge top price for simple tune =ripoff
when same tune you can get at outher places so if you dont mind paying 2x more at sg then go not my problem
but i like my cash so i go elsewhere....& i bet my car runs just the same as sg would have done......for half the price

unfortunately the statement above about SG being a good tunner is un true. They may not want to deal with people with budget constraints and that is fine but the people i know that have dealt with his shop are not people with any budget limitations. they went in there and told SG what they want and when the cars were returned ( one was a week late with no explanation) they were running so bad one even had a open line from the intake maifold that was a huge boost leak, the others tried to get the car finnished propper but the worst part was they paid for the cars before the test drove them so the money had exchanded hands and they were and still are un willing to help.
I am sure there are some people that have had a good experience with SG but this thread is about all experience's so this has been mine and my opinion is STAY AWAY FROM SG motorsports.

O and BTW if your cheap this is a bad hobby to be involved in but thank you for your views on my responce.

You would be very wise to stick with Federal. he has worked on my personal car several times and has been nothing but perfect every time, even when i just need a one off part or a normal part its always been correct or better then i expected.
