  • Sticker and switch on my ECU

    Afternoon guys,

Anyone have an idea what this sticker might be saying? There is a switch that is currently on "2". I have a friend at work that I will grill on Monday but curiousity compells me to find out sooner .

    Thanks guys

Put it in Photobucket and then copy and paste the link.
Other then that "MAYBE" it's a dual map system in your ecu. Sorta like a "go fast" switch. If the car is working well don't eff with it until you find out.

Have it set up on image shack but the straight link doesn't maybe this "clever" attempt will work

Yay! Time to get your English-Japanese dictionary out.

Its done to prevent piracy... i think they hook up a cap with an energy charge in it that discharges if the lid comes off...

" This ECU will self destruct in 10 seconds..." Some real mission impossible stuff here.

So here is a basic translation:

                  Note 1:

(In the brackets of line one) You can switch between Romtune and Normal Tune
-This computer has been set by rechargable battery
-When you open the lid switch on and 5V power runs to current data and is going to damage it and force you to make short circuit (cuts) on wires.
if you open this warranty is void. Good call Shady.

                  Note 2:

-When you want to change a mode (switch) you have to switch after you stop the engine (30 sec).
-Also you need 3-5 minutes after start to drive for proper running mode.

So now that I have this translation is it fair to assume mode "1" is the tuned mode and 2 is stock? It's like a Sphynx wrote it then translated it to Japanese. Mode "1" has an english "ON" and 2 has an english "OFF". Well I guess I will flick the switch and see what happens.

                    Shadybeaverguy FTW!

Do you have a consult cable?

I do not have a consult cable. Not sure even what it is.

So I flipped the switch. Can't say I noticed any difference, though no place to test it out.
