  • Tons of Questions Regarding Parts / Retailers / ETC

    Hey all,
I had a bunch of questions regarding some items on my car and I thought id make a one thread. I did a bit of searching but I couldnt find everything I was looking for.

    1) I would like to know if there are any retailers in either Canada (preferably in the GTA, but I doubt that) or the US that is pretty much the equivalent of something like RHDJapan or Tunerlab.jp. Iam looking for wide variety of selection for parts, and SEMI-decent prices. I know there is JRP but iam looking for others.

    2) Anyone here know of any decent rim repair shops in the GTA? I have a crack on one of my rims and I would like to get it fixed asap. I have searched a little bit already, found a few but wondering if anyone here had a "guy" or something like that.

3a) I would like to know where I can get some braided hoses for my car. I want to change all the engine oil hoses to braided ones.

3b) What types of fittings are these? (see following pic) I would like to get ones I can use for the braided hoses.

    4) Anyone know of any decent used tire places in the GTA? Looking for some 255/40/17 tires just to last till the end of season, will buy fresh rubber next summer.

    5) I would like to do something like to do something like this to my "Skyline" logo on the trunk. Is there a tut or a how-to somewhere?

    Thanks all

      1. why limited to the GTA, theres plenty of sponsors located in canada who can ship for cheap
      Sponsor Forums

3a. are you really sure you want to switch to braided hoses ? do you "need" to?
because AN-6 hose can be 12$/foot and AN-10 16$/foot, then theres the AN fittings, straight ones are "cheap" but angled ones (45°, 90°, 135°, U) can cost an arm and a leg (a 135° AN-6 fitting is 52$)
and you'll probly need adapters too

3b. are you ever taken those off? they are just push-ons, you'll need to take the valve covers off to get AN fittings welded onto there

      4. you can probly buy really cheap brand new chinese tires that will last just that, till the end of the season

      5. google is your friend

        1) I know about the ppl on the forums. But I am just wondering if there is local stuff because that way I can just walk in and get what i need

3a/b) Yes I am sure. Cost is not the biggest issue here, just need to know where to get. Thanks for letting me know on the welding, I had no idea. I plan to do some work underneath the valve covers anyway during the winter so I will get this done as well. But where do I actually get the fittings and hoses?

        4) Thanks I will ask that guy

        5) Google has failed me i can find lots for the R33 but none for the R32

check out my 2 build threads

the lines they used are all Russell fittings rated for 1000psi so they woudl def work for what you looking to do
