That being said. The answers to your basic questions are YES and YES. The GTR is not a Civic (no offense intended to Civic owners). -
Overly expensive yes. not the easiest to trouble shoot or fix. Fun to drive but EVO X and new STIs are funner, smarter, warranty and cheaper to soup up. those who buy GTRs is cause they have a good cash flow, if they can't afford it, they sell and move on.
