At just over 100k USD, it's one of the best performance bargains out there(for a new car). Price isn't that far off from GT-R in the USDM, at 80k.
I was very impressed that a production Corvette could hold the Nurburgring record at one point. It's a much better performance car than anything European, at a fraction of the cost. The same could be said for the R35. 2012 GT-R numbers look pretty impressive.
There's a lot more sophisticated and high-end tech in the ZR1 than some might think.
