i bought my car off them but by the time it get's here you've spent a lot more than you would have if you just bought one that was already in Canada. Not worth it in my opinion

Im pretty sure your talking about japan Direct in mississauga/Toronto?

There car are fairly decent if they are the mnp ones though I havn't been by in a month or so. On of the body kits was really ugly in person.

Should just by my 95 gtr vspec instead

Yea Its the one in Mississauga. There asking 15000 for them. He said it has around 70 k. He told me he would give me a month warranty with it...almost the wrong time of the year for that tho. Thanks for the info

Do not buy it sight unseen, I almost did that when I bought a Gtr because it was 3000km away, the pictures I had the car looked pristine ! Last Minute I decided il fly out and have a look even though it cost me a extra $800. When I got there the car was a complete piece of **** ! I ended up finding another one and bought it and drove it home, spent $800 but saved thousands on what it would have cost me in repairs and misc **** had I not went to look at it and just bought it. This is your dream car - dont start off with a pos project, there are way to many nice gtr's for sale right now to risk buying a lemon. My 2 cents. If that dealership takes pride in their fleet they will pay for half your flight if not all or take the cost of the price off the car if you fly out, mine did. If they won't - **** em.

The price seems fair for a r33 Gtr, there are a few of them for sale on gtrc you could check out. Either way it's a buyers market so take your time and find a good one good luck shopping

If you are planning to come to the Toronto area to look at the car make sure you make appointments with some of the other dealerships in the area at the same time. Also I would look in the for sale threads and check out some members cars as you may get a really good deal.

Also how is a 1 month warranty going to work if the dealer is here and you are out east?

Oh yeah, one more thing research, research, and more research on these cars is required before buying. The info is archived on this site which will make the search button your best friend for the next couple of weeks.

I have also checked the threads and have spotted a few that im considering. I just wanted to know if this was a reputable company before i consider them and looking at their car's

I personally would not deal with them. I had a bad experience with them. I bought a set of spare wheels/rims and the guy assured me that they will fit. I had my doubts but since I was a bit desperate I bought them. I tried them on and of-course they didnt fit. I took them back and had to fight tooth and nail to get my money back. I kept saying I thought they wouldn't fit but your guy said they would. Long story short, I got my money back after arguing like mad. The place seemed shady when I went there and the people talked in a different language when I went back. Keep your money

As a Newfoundland GTR owner, it is very important that you get a GTR in "Good" shape, to my knowledge there are only three GTR's in Newfoundland, mine, Rodney's (came from Corner Brook with a blown motor, currently swapping in a rebuild) and Adam's(bought from moncton NB with a bad CAS sensor and shady AEM "Tuned" ECU, blown head gasket and turbo...), all of which are being worked on by me and friends. The major issue with a GTR project here is parts. If you live in St. John's, it's not that bad as there is a Nissan dealer here and you can get some suspension parts from them(300ZX or 240), but other then that, we have to order everything.

So on to my opinion, buy one that is in Canada. Mine was purchased in Leftbridge and brought to Newfoundland, Rodney's was bought thru a Importer in Montreal, motor lasted one ride, had rod knock anyway, and Adam's was advertised as "perfect". So out of three, one was good. Fly to the car and look at it, take it for a test drive, bring it to a garage, put it on a lift, look for leaks of any sort check suspension for play, anything over three mm's in the front is costly. Even so much as going to Canadian tire, getting a compression gauage and testing. Finding a GTR that hasn't been run hard and put away wet seems to be hard. Look carefully, be prepared to spend bucks. You might need to fly to acouple of different cities to find the "one". If you have any questions, PM and I'll hook you up with my cell.

Hybrid: When did your friend buy the one in Moncton? Did it have stickers on the back?

I'm not overly sure when he bought it, I would say in the last two years, more likely with in the last year, I'm offshore now, I'll ask him when I get in. I think it had a sticker or two on it, The engine was a Big single conversion, Geddy intake manifold, fuel rail... ETC.. Runs on a Aem EMS. It is Bright red in Color.

Oh that one, more around Cap Pelé? A guy that was in engineering with me would talk about his friend that was selling his red skyline to buy a house.

I was assuming you were talking about a gunmetal one that was for sale in Moncton. I checked her out and the owner basically didn't like my criticism (he was selling it as mint but some panels were hiding rot) and to ***k off. After buying my R32 and driving towards Moncton in my sentra, I saw his R32 driving towards Rogersville, probably by the new owner.

I really wonder if I passed up on something good... there was some solid and pricy mods on there, AP big brakes etc for only 2000$ more than I bought mine.

But in the end nothing beats stock for a clean slate. Good luck on your builds!

I couldn't agree more, clean slate starts are the best. There is a reason that car had big brakes fitted...... LOL. Mine stops just fine from reasonable speed levels... LOL. I wouldn't worry about the missed opportunity, in my experience, if you wait and keep a eye on the car, you'll find that you might be buying the parts that you wanted before, for cheaper. I wanted a B16 Head for my first B20Vtec build years ago.... Only knew for one in good shape, but buddy would never part with it. So I waited..... Then low and behold, he threw a connecting rod out the front of his motor... Ended up getting the head for $250, he was stuck for cash. So Marcus92, keep an eye and wait, them parts will be for sale, sooner or later... LOL

On the builds, I get in on Monday, Welding the HKS Extended Sump to the spare basepan for Rodney's(Gunmetal GTR) motor, so with any luck that will run by Christmas. My GTR is enjoying a winter's sleep in her new paint. Parts collecting is well underway.... Saving money for my GT2871-10's now.....
