  • Stripped Dump Pipe Stud

I need to replace a stripped out stud that's connects the dump pipe to the downpipe. I tried pulling it out with vice grips but that didn't work. Any pointers how to go about doing that?

can you run a die on it to re-thread it? ,just throwing an idea out
understeer -is when you go off the road and see the tree that kills you
oversteer-is when you go off the road backwards and dont see the tree that kills you

I did just that. I'm going to bolt up my downpipe tommorow.

hopefully u can rethread the bitch if not.........use vise grips as u say however i think u gonna need to heat it up around the actual stud and then cool it with water immediately do this a cppl of times and you shud be able to get it out. it works ive done it

          ^This

That's what I've done for my Sentra's rotten bolts on the manifold to downpipe flange.

Thanks guys, I think what I need is just some longer studs. I bought an HKS downpipe awhile ago and I'm having trouble buttoning it up because it has thicker flanges.
