  • Ohlins suspension components?

Who here uses Ohlins stuff? There is very little info on their site, all I can see for our cars is the 'NIS MI20', gonna go ahead and assume thats a coilover setup, but not sure.
    Victory is on the horizon..

I have Ohlins struts on my GTR, they are wicked. Nice ride, nice rebound and damping. I have rebound damping knob on mine, set to 6 of 12. I believe the kit originally came from Mine's of Japan. They were on the car when I got it. A friend also has Ohlins Coil-overs on his 94 Supra and loves them. Ohlins has long been a leader in suspension tech in many forms of motorsport. I also have Ohlins Shocks on my snowmobile, it is a mountain mod Polaris, they have been on her for 3 years, and not so much as a hitch, nothing. I would recommend Ohlins to anyone. I also know they are pricey, but worth it.

Ohlins seems to be among the best in every field they make suspension for, including Motorcyles, Sleds, ect..

I cant verify that code for you but I for sure stand behind their stuff. I run full adjustable coilovers on my car, and shocks and stabalizers on my bike.

Ohlins in japan make there own stuff and is differnt than the swedish stuff. Ohlins had another company building them under the ohlins name. They were meant to be more affordable than the swedish ones. I dont think they make japanese ones anymore.

That being said you can get some ohlins dfv's. If your looking into some top of line coilovers also check out ast and nitron. They both build some sweet gtr coilovers but be prepared to spend some coin.

Yamaha was the company that produced the Japanese spec Ohlins.

valving on the japanese Ohlins wasnt as awesome as the euro spec stuff, (jspec stuff had much firmer valving) but they're still one of the best on the market!

also check out Aragosta if you're in that price territory

or you could go balls out and get Moton. haha

Moton would have to be custom. Nitron, aragosta, and ast make skyline specific kits. Im going to go with nitrons when I decide to get rid of my hks's. Why? Low UK pound and english speaking manufacturer (nitron is uk based)
