  • Rb26 o2 sensor questions

While pulling out the motor today i got a lil carried away and yanked the wires out of the front dump pipe o2 sensor....

So just wondering cause i read that the 90-95 maxima's vg30 and infiniti's j30 motors have compatible sensors for rb26 can anyone confirm this?

Also can anyone confirm the difference between front an back harness plug differences? There have been people saying the square plug is front and flat plug is back but others say its the other way around.

Just want to make sure before i proceed

    Thanks!

yea man i went threw this already. i used to work at lordco and i tried the 94 maxima ones and they work. I bought the ngk ones and they arent cheap lol. However the sensors are the same but the connectors are differnt so you have to splice in the connectors off your oem sensors then they work fine. I dont remember which one is front or back. I just bought my o2 sensors for air care than pulled my motor to go big single so i dont need them anymore so if you want them i can sell them to you with the connectors already sodered on. like 50 km on them lol. but if you want them new lordco stocks them and at my staff price i think they were close to 200 for the pair

Factory o2 sensors are NGK / NTK.

Can buy them from here -

They mention front 02 sensor requires changing the plug over with the square stock o2 sensor plug.

Both O2's have different plugs so you cant mix up the O2 sensors if you unplugged them.

i just checked the plugs and the front is square and back is flat,

according to some guys in aus from: http://members.pcug.org.au/~jdeakins/facts.html

thats how it should be set up according to that article

Im going to try to reconnect the wirings first, clean the sensors and have them tested....
hopefully they are still in proper working condition
