I'm running all 5 gears in a brand new R33 box. RPM's are still fine on the highway, although I don't use this car for long trips.
I bought it complete with new transfer case for about $5k shipped. Had to get a push to pull type conversion, which is no big deal.
I really like the gearbox, mostly because I don't have to think about it. It just works, and always has the right gear. I drive fast, but smooth so I'm not forcing fast shifts or anything.
Great upgrade, but like Bruizer says - it costs a fair bit more than a used, good condition OEM box.
