  • Will the motor(RB26) fit no problem?

Hello gtr owners I was wondering I'f this project will work with no hassle!!! I have a R33 GTSt and Im
Wanting to put a RB26 in replacement of my RB25. I've done some research on it already and from what I read it I need to use my RB25 oil pan and the RB26 will bolt right into place with my motor mounts and transmission is this all correct or no? Please don't rip on me for being a newb please Becuase this is a
Serious project that I want to do. So please have serious answers and helpful

    Thanks abunch

transmission should match-up fine. As for the engine mounts, i assume they would be mounted in the same place on the subframe between models. Even if they don't fit, getting a shop to weld up some engine mount brackets would be peanuts.

Just wondering why you are going with an 2.6? That 0.1 displacement isnt going to make a huge difference and if you want a twin setup just use the money that your gonna buy your 2.6 and get an upgraded turbo setup for your 2.5 and get more hp and faster spool then the 2.6 will give you anyways. Thats my opinion?!

I'm actually doing the swap right now as we speak, i'll be making a thread here pretty quick on the build , but it does fit, with minor modifications, youll need to swap out the clutch and flywheel to a pretty upgraded rb25 clutch, stock rb25 flywheel will work fine. the coolant lines that travel behind the head need to be modified, as i have made an adaptor for that, the transmission is straight bolt up, you'll also need a full uncut engine harness from the rb26, the oil pan will need to be modified, because of the front diff, there is no room for it, so grind off the front diff. Quite a bit of work involved, but i hope its worth it!

I'm getting a create motor so it comes with a fully build motor and a wireing harness no transmission parts what so ever and from what ive been told the 25 oil pan is a direct bolt on
