  • Clutch noise!

hey guys i decided to start up the gtr today since it was such a nice day,
the car had been idleing for about 15 mins and then i was pushing the clutch pedal and it was
making a noise like a (pinging) sound! anyone know what this noise is or is it just because the car
is cold? or is it normal having a racing clutch?

any input or have had the same issue before?

Probably your release bearing. Try replacing that in when bringing the car out for daily driving
Miss driving sooooo bad! Need to get a car on the road ASAP!

Well you'll need the tranny out to do it. I would say labor in 4-500$. You would be better off to change your clutch well your there

What kind of clutch is it? If its a multi disk clutch they always make a rattling sound when the peddle is depressed.

my nismo twin makes noise when the clutch pedal is NOT depressed and goes silent when it is depressed... i think thats normal, if its making noises when it is depressed u probably have issues...

yah i ask few of my buddies that have mustangs with aftermarket clutches and race cars and they told to drive it for a good 1 or 2 weeks to see if its just moisture from being stored for awhile so im, going to drive it for a week or so to see if it goes away or not!
if still noisy wen depressed den i will change the bearing or just put a new clutch kit!

My cars made that sound for the last 4 years with no clutch problems.

I'm sure it's just something from storing It. If its not effecting the function of the clutch then I wouldn't worry too much.
