    ^^^I agree with what you're saying. ^^^
I just really love the looks of an R34. After more thought I think we'll end up seeing the same thing as we've seen with the 32s and 33s. People will pay good money for them and over the next few years the value will drop down to a pitiful low.
There is a beautiful R32 GTR recently posted on here for $13000. It looks like more of a $16000 car to me.
People will spend $45000 for an R34 and 2-3 years later they will be selling for $20-25000. SICK.
Still thinking of building a Pro Touring Camaro... http://www.lateral-g.net/rupp/

Power for power, the R34 should be quicker. Technology wins.

An R32 or R34 with the same power as an R35 (though it's way heavier), the R35 wins it's nuts. Even with more power, the R34 gets "eated" haha. The new GTR is ugly, fat and has more safeties and nannies than any other car but it's still one of the fastest. Then there's the Alpha Omega... monster. If I ever reached over 500whp, I'd be surprised to beat a stock GTR.

ummm. from what ive seen at the drag strip r35s are not that fast. a 500whp r32 with a competent will easily eat a stock r35 in a 1/4 mile

1/4 is irrelevant. If I wanted a 1/4 mile car I'd buy a Bored Crustang 5.slow and have at 'er.
Also we can huff and puff about which generation is better for whatever reason and get no where. The new GTR is brilliantly engineered with termendous handling for a great price compared to it's competitors.
The R34 is a decade older and is still very impressive on track. An R32 that's had some minor mods is VERY capable with a decent driver to todays standards as well.
The difference with the cars performance comes down to how much you can afford to spend.

            R35's don't have 500whp stock. I think the 2012 had 435whp or something no?

No. New GTR has 545hp and 463ft.lbs. Now slap yourself for not knowing that!

He's talking about whp, not bhp...with that said a 2012 GTR probably sits around 450whp.

I say if you have the cash for a R34, go for it!

Lets be honest for a moment. Yes the 32 is a great car. It's a LOT cheaper then a 34 and with the difference you can put into various parts. That being said, if you've got the pockets for a 34, then I'd expect you'd know what it would cost to mod such a car.

                  I'd take a 34 over a 32. I'd be down for one if I wasn't planing to buy a S15.

Wouldn't it be possible to buy a 34 motor with a getrag 6spd and swap it into a 32? Then it's pretty much a 34 with a 32 shell and drivetrain etc... Just a question.

Well you would have exactly that. A 32 with part of a 34 drive train and I did consider that. Part of the appeal is the look of the 34. If you seen one in person you'll know what I mean.
