  • What is the best .. Put a r34 motor or tuned the r32

    I wanna know if its better to put a r34 like motor and go on dyno or stay with my r32 and changed turbo ,pump, and other parts ,,,


    So if u have do the swap if its wrong or what is the bad

      R32 and R34 are basically the same engine, RB26... Both with ceramic turbos. Should be more specific....

        Sorry, outside of a longer oil pump drive compared to the early R32s, they are the same engine.

          The only difference is the turbos and fixed crank collar but R34 has 6MTand R32 has 5MT. The R32 can be changed to RWD with the removal of a fuse whereas you need to remove the front prop shaft in the R34.

          I looked at your feedscore and what message lildevilcrx left and I lol'd. Are you 12?

            Can the R34 6MT be swapped into a R32GTR? Do any modifications need to be made?

              Also forgot to mention they got different crank angle sensors.

              Same motor, RB26DETT. Very few changes made and wont make a difference if you use all the same parts. Everything is direct bolt up but you need a custom wire harness.

              edit: Lol Sorry I thought you wrote can the R34 fit in an R32 but you just meant swapping 5spd for 6spd with stock R32 RB26?

                The ignition coils are different too.
                If you have an RB26 from a BNR34 Nur, then the block and pistons are N1 spec.
                The cam belt cover is also different, BNR32 is metal, BNR34 is plastic.

                BNR34's 6 speed Getrag transmission can be fitted to a BNR32, but it's costly, because you will need an R34 propeller shaft, R34 transmission member and mount, R34 transfer and front propeller shaft. It's also not a perfect fit, as the Getrag transmission is slightly longer than the R32's 5 speed. Therefore, part of the chassis' transmission tunnel needs to be hammered in to make way for the 6 speed.

                  If you have a healthy running motor, why bother? Just spend the money on your stock 26 instead and get a reliable 500hp out of it.

                    Actually, what you want to do is buy one of the Z-tune crate motors. They are called Reinek 2.8L from Reimax. Its a fully balanced 2.8L RB engine producing 500whp. It only cost 10g.

                      Is there any modifications that need to be done if a BNR34 RB26 engine and tranny were used in a BNR32? Or can an R34 6MT be put on a R32 Rb26 without any modifications to the engine or Tranny?

                        Tranny needs some mods. Been covered many times, check google/search. As for the r34 engine it is not stronger than R32, same difference really. If you're going to spend 7-10k to get an r34 tranny in a 32, which isn't that great of a tranny for the price, keep the 5spd and beef it up

                          It'd be alot easier just to keep the trans set with the original motor instead of trying to hybrid it. Read on the first page what narface wrote for mix and matching trannys.

                            I am looking at a rolling chassis that only needs an engine has the 5MT in it I was just curious. For a dd may as well keep the same tranny and look for a Rb26
