Rear 1/4 glass seals are molded to the glass and the front and rear seals are going to be glued to the glass and body with urathane adhesive.

Tape them off or pull the glass, which is risky..

Why not save yourself the headache and get it done professionally at a reputable body shop? You're located in Toronto as well, there's so many options at a good price.

I am getting my car painted at a body shop, but would like to pull off as most as I can myself.

I thought maybe I could get away with leaving the rear qtr glass in and just pull the mouldings.

but yea I would leave it to the pros to do it, anyone have the p/n for the left and right qtr seals

Its a toss up between 3 shops
              excellence in rexdale area
              golden mile in scarborough
or 427 auto collision in toronto

There is no p/n for the 1/4 seals as they are molded to the glass and are not replaceable by themselves. If the seals are damaged the whole assembly must be replaced.

Just leave the glass and trim for the body shop, they should be able to get it out with out f'ing anything up.

yes i would like to know this too. i don't want to spend a couple grand on paint only to have it look worse than 20 year old paint in a few years.

What does it cost for a decent paint job out there?

From my findings in the lower rainland BC, for a full sand and ding repair plus rear and side glass removal it ranges from about $5000 and upwards. For a respray it should be around $3000 approximately. If anyone knows of better deals here in BC please please please mention them as I am also looking into paint.
