  • Where to buy ViPec ECU?

What are all the options to get plug in or V88 Vipec ECU?

I emailed Cam @ light speed but he hasn't emailed me back and I want one shipped out to me before the end of the month.

    Any info would be awesome.

    Cheers,
    Taylor

We do sell them, it usually takes 2 weeks to come in from Australia.

I strongly advise to first find a tuner. That's the biggest problem with ECUs... If you have a confident and able tuner for the said ecu (not all ECUs are the same...) they might even get you a bro deal on one!

BEST thing to do IMO is get the tuner to supply it and install it so you don't have to run on a random tune or chance issues that require trailering the car somewhere... It does need some wiring to install if I remember right and some basic setting up.

If your getting the vipec get marco to get it for you..install it and tune it!

If I were you I'd go see Bill at Independant speed shop. Get a Haltech and he will make your dream come true. Very very very good tuner and master at wiring! Pm me if your interested

Taylor youre best bet is to Phone Cam, its tuning season so he often spends 12 plus hours a day in the dyno bay and rarely in front of his computer. I bet he has a Vipec in stock right now. It only take a few hours to install to then half a day on the dyno. you will be impressed with it.

What evil said, I got a tune there and using my PFC he got it done but he said I coulda saved 2hours of dyno time as the Vipec is his thing.

If I ever have another Rb I will be going Vipec aswell.

yea i would have to agree. the biggest regret of my build would have to be going with a power fc d jetro over a vipec. shouldnt of let people talk me into the power fc !

Ya I got ahold of cam he is going to send me out a Vipec and an AIM dash so I can install it all and get the boost control setup then I'm going to drive up to see him for the tune.

Its a long drive so if anyone has other experience with tuners in the lower mainland with Vipec and GTR's. We sent a few cars to marco but they were all rotary's.

hey, dont think this is a hijack to the thread, but the vipec plug and haltech plug n play are very similar no?

No not really. Vipec and Link are the same. But yes they are both plus and play!

i thought about going out of province to get my tune but eventually decided against it due to the altitude difference....

Ya Kelowna is 1400 ft so very close to other places... It should compensate however with a MAP system...
