  • major tire cupping.

Got a tire alignment and they said a vibration would stop once the tires wear to the alignment... ******** one tire is worn out now. Doesn't seem to be any slop in the suspension or steering I am thinking a way out of balance tire possibly? Any other suggestions?

Also before the alignment there was no vibration and I also got some new tires put on at the same place not sure if a really out of balance tire can cause a tire to wear out that fast.

Out of balance tires will not run smooth. It will "hop" along instead of being firmly planted on the road. Is the vibration there all the time or at certain speeds? An out of balance tire will not wear quickly. The shop that did the work must have screwed up one of the settings causing tire wear. Take it back and have them reinspect their work.

It is not noticable at lower speeds mostly just at highway speeds, now that I think about it vibration may not be the best term to describe it the wheel moves back and forth about .5-1cm while at 130 and is a little slower than a vibration. It does track straight as well

Ok, kinda sounds like a wheel balance issue if it comes and goes with hiway speeds and shakes the steering wheel. Get your balance checked again, it's possible a weight may have come off causing the problem.

Does the wheel move more if you press brakes?
Had the problem with my lancer when I did a major tune up. Decided to only change the brake pads. So the pads we're closer to the disk. At highway speed my steering wheel would go side by side crazy cuz my rotors were all warped and touching the new pads. New disk fixed the problem.

Get your wheels rebalanced & throw the cupped tires on the rear. Nothing in the alignment would cause a vibration unless they rotated a poorly balanced tire to the front of the car.
