    Engine shops it calgary

My dad and I have both used precise and I have use D&W as well. Both are great knowledgeable shops.

I have done less work at precise but they are great to deal with and I will use them more in the future.

D&W goes good work. Not sure what things should cost so I can't comment on their pricing. They bored my 26 to 87mm, decked the block, decked the head, slight grind and polish of the crank, sources main and rod bearings, replaced small end bearings/prepped rods, changed to bigger oil pump drive and balanced the whole assembly. I did the assembling myself. Bill was $2500-2700

Can't stress this enough. Buy this book "Engine Blueprinting: Practical Methods for Racing and Rebuilding"
It is in stock at mopac. So you know the basics and know what your talking about while spending your hard earned cash.

I had my head work done at precise not D&W. D&W wanted to sleeve the valve guided instead of used the Tomei guides I had purchased. Precise knocked out the old sleeves, put in the guides, and rechecked te deck for $180. I did te assembly.

I bought newway valve seat cutters, lapping tools, feeler guides, a torque wrench, torque angle gauge, a diegrinder with aluminum cutting bits, and valve spring tool. Your welcome to use these tools and I can help you with questions for a few beers.

Oh and I have a new oem head gasket you can have.
