Those who want a 34 are not Going to buy these high mileage examples, clearly i see you are not familiar with the japanese auction system which on turn tells me you have more research to do.

Judging by your original question ..... Find a shop that can "help" you pass, they know, we know that dot anything is bs.

Docshay has proven more familiarity and shown more research than you.

Perhaps adam@feast can back me up on this he will know for sure.

Considering a nice r33 gtr still fetch over 1mil.

You guys can dream for a clean r34 gtr landed and cleared for $35k

Just for the record, I would have no issue buying an R34 with 96,000KM's. My current BMW M3 has more then that, preventive maintenance goes a long way. I would in no way consider 100k high millage. It's not "brand new" by any stretch, but hardly high millage - at least to North American prospective. From "research" i've done, it looks like the reason JDM vehicles typically have much less millage on them is because it gets wildly expensive when you put on more KM's, and you are granted tax credits for keeping low millage.

I'd say your stretching pretty far to say no one is going to buy a 100k millage R34 with a Grade 4 condition.

I'll keep dreaming for now until convinced otherwise. Perhaps someone else can chime in too and bring me to "reality". I do appreciate you trying to help though, thanks.

Hey Doc, let the "tea and crumpet" camp buy a $50k R34, I have personally sat in R34 GTRs at auction lots in Japan that sold in the $15 to $20k CAN range and they were nice enough, some normal wear for 100k km cars but still really nice compared to a north American car of the same km. ZERO rust and orig paint. And this was 3 years ago. Things will only get cheaper.

I've also sat in $50k R32s at ZELE International and they were PERFECT with only a couple of thousand Ks on them, its whatever you're into.

Sure, not afraid to get my hands dirty. And really, its a GTR, chances are the car was looked after even if it has some flaws. My car is quite a bit less than perfect but mechanically was really good, I had to do very little to get it on the road. Like I said, whatever you're into. And if you think that a $40k car won't have any issues at all and be a cream puff....hmmmm.......now who's dreaming.
