  • Oil Filter Relocation

Honestly, is the Greddy really worth the excessive price or has anybody here used something from Summit, JC, Others? Universal kits listed for Nissans usually run about $50 - $100 Vs $1,000. Hmmmm

I'm sure the threads are the same from other Nissans. 3/4 - 16. Same size listed for first Gen 300ZX and plenty of others.

Is that part of a oilcooler kit???

With Greedy / Trust it's quality of the machining, quality of the fittings (they don't leak like cheaper brands), braided hose, sensor holes with removeable bungs (remove bung, fit sensor) for oil pressure, oiltemp gauges.

Cheaper oil relocation kits use worm drive hose clamps, rubber hose, take off on engine side and remote plate where oil filter mounts to, screw in brass? nipple fittings. There's no holes for oiltemp or oilpressure gauges in side of remote plate.

If want cheaper, MOCAL sandwich plates, MOCAL fittings, braided hose. Can use a cheapish Greedy / Trust sandwich plate that has holes for oiltemp, oilpressure gauges in the side that you mount on top of MOCAL remote plate.

Alright first of all a Greddy oil filter RELOCATION kit is around 280 bucks. They are great quality and thats why people continue to use them. Are you talking about an oilcooler kit? If so i havent even looked at summit racing or JC but i dont mess around with knock off or cheap parts ESPECIALLY when it comes to oil or oil cooling.

My Greddy/Grex relocate kit leaks, lol. Just cause its expensive doesn't mean it's good. I proved that with eBay turbos. Bought a turbo kit for my old Sentra Spec V. $700 and I got two years of daily driving and thrashing and had absolutely no issues. Everyone said those China chargers wouldn't last a day, I proved them wrong. Not trying to be an ass, but I'm not on the brand name wagon anymore.

Lol, I bought a knock off greddy oil catch can, it was the worst quality I've ever seen, the holes to screw the fittings in we're not even round, basically sugared with some haggard threads inside, I still used it though, lol, drilled out the hole and jb welded the fitting in there. Still looked good, and for 20 bucks
