Been looking for tires for next year, i have a 18x10.5 wheel and im wondering what is the widest tire i can throw on my car. Can i run a 285? car is on coilovers. Also what tires are some of you running? I have been looking at the Potenza RE11 and the nitto NT05. Looking for something agressive as this is not a daily driven car and ive got some power to put down

Offset? With a 10.5" rim, offset is the biggest determining factor. You could go 295 easy if the offset is around +25 to +30. I am +37 in the back on a 10" rim and 315 is no issue (wish I hadn't chickened out and got the 315 instead of the 275).

1. RE11s - (I have personally used) fantastic in the dry and the wet, especially the wet!

with a 10.5 inch wide rim with a 15 offset, the widest you can run is a 285 but this requires rolling and lightly pulling the rear fenders if your car is lowered,
i would suggest a 275 as the widest tire on that rim.
I currently run 10.5 inch wide wheel with a +15 offset and i had hankook r comps in 285/30/18 and it fit but i had to raise the rear a bit while tracking the car.

Thanks guys. I have no problem rolling fenders. I dont want my car slammed but i was going to drop it and camber in a little bit. Ill look into the dunlops, ive heard about those tires being a pretty good tire. Oh and the tires sidewall will be a 35 series no matter what width i go with!Raw Brokerage, Your RB specialists

Personally I think anything smaller than a 40 sidewall is too rigid. I've got 265/35/18 in the rear and 235/40/18 in the front and when I buy tires next summer I wanna try to fit 275/40/18 all around. I think though it might look like a 4x4. It will have to be raised, but if your one for that "track monster" look then this is a good route.
A good meaty sidewall all shined up can sometimes give a car all that beef that its missing. Anyone agree?
If looking low is what your after you can usually achieve it with the right body additions. Things such as diffusers, canards, lips, skirts etc will make a 4x4 appear low, no point in sacrificing ride quality.

I'm running PilotSport PS2's that are 265/40/18 all around, the 40 profile is definitely a lot beefier, but with the right height adjustment, it looks great since it really fills out the wheel wells, one problem I've had is the rubbing in the front wheel wells where there is a sharp slit of metal running next to the frame rails, not really sure how else to describe it but it was making cuts on my outer wall when i turned

40 series looks great i think. Just hard to have both worlds with a +15 offset wheel and a 285 tire. I want my car fairly low. Not stanced but low. The 40 series looks great if someone can work some magic on fitment. Is there really a difference in feel from a 35 series to a 40?

these tires are amazing! they dont ride all that rough and the dry grip is pretty dam impressive, what surprised me more is the grip when its wet which in vancouver is a serious plus lol
but to be honest though for the price, you'd be better off with dunlop z1's

Oh are they expensive.? im not buying a retail. I have access to almost everything. But i have excellent pricing on Bridgestone, Nitto, Toyo. Id have to look into Dunlops pricing. I can get the Goodyear KDW2 but ive heard they are awful in anything wet and dont get even decent tread life.Raw Brokerage, Your RB specialists
