I've got 18x10.5 +15 wrapped in 285/35/18 Hankook RS3's. The car is a daily driver so I needed something that I could head to the track with on the weekend and still be able to get around town, even in the rain.

Tire is great, loads of grip, like bubblegum when its hot.

Had roll fenders on rear, mold front fender liner back for more room (going to remove it next year), should be able to do full lock then and really enjoy the full potential of such a wide tire

    Here are a few pics:

It's the +37, makes it look like I only have 245s back there, untill you see it from the rear. Looks phat ass, like its mini tubbed. A 315 would fit back there with only a little bit of rolling. With the wheels you have I wouldn't go more than 265 in a 40 series, that way the stretch won't make the ride too choppy. With fender mods a 285 is doable, McFly had 295s on his car I believe with that wheel size.

See "Wheel Fitment" sticky in the GTR tech section.

thanks jon, i looked at that and thats why i went with my purchase of 18x10.5 in a +15. Kunzz ive seen your build thread and love the way you R33 looks. Thats what really made me want to run big tires, especially 285's. Im going to look into those hankooks if you say they are a great tire. I wonder how much different the fender wells are on a R33 compared to the 32.

As Dragon Humper said, McFly is a good example to look at for a beefy 32. His was just perfect

              I have a 235 stretched over a 10.5 lol
Falken Ziex tires. Tons of grip when warm, gold tire
They wear out pretty quick tho, didn't get a full season out of them.

Very soft compound. Good when it's good but rubber doesn't last long.
My r33 is slaaaaammmed. For an r33 lol

Well atleast you gtr guys have the room to fit such big tires, sedans have no room, its pretty horrible. Well for tucking tiny bit of rim on 17's it only makes sense, but lowered on wide ass tires is sooo beauty. But for sure don't go 40 series over 265's, just to chunky and will make It that much harder for you to fit wider tires. I know a lot of you don't like smaller then 35 series. But depending on width you would be able to run it, for example 305/30 is 25.2 inches diameter, and a 275/35 is 25.58 inches in diameter. So half inch smaller, will lower your car 1/4 inch, no big deal. But it might be just enough to save you from running into problems. And you'll have more grip then you will need, plus sounds like you got connections so still affordable. Just google and take a look and see if u just don't like the look at all or you'd be alright with it. But for example Charles was running 18x11 -1 with a 265/35 with a pull. So what I'm getting at is his wheels stuck out 22 mm farther then yours, so an inch, so right their you see that with some precise sizing you can fit bigger tires as I show you threw legit calculations. I dunno. I know I don't even know you or anything but I love this stuff, I like figuring it all out so I thought why not share ideas. And the tires size Charles had,265/35 is identical to 305/30, so you could run staggered as well. Just go on his build thread and check out the wheels And tires on his car to give you an idea of the over all diameter if you like the look on a gtr. If u got question you just pm me since I might forget to look back at this thread. But whatever you choose I'd like to see pictures as I'm sure others would too! Good luck!!

I will be starting my winter thread soon. I have quite a bit of work to do on the car. Just super busy at the moment. Thanks for the info though. Im pretty set on a 35 series just for the fact it has less tire roll and it allows me to lower my car a little bit more. I will be running a 285 front and back and my rims arent staggered they are all 18x10.5 +15. Id love to see more gtrs on wide tires such as 285's. Thanks for the information guys!

                          18X10 +20 w/265/35/18

There wider then they look, i wish i went 275 but oh well! next time i need rubber i will. These will fit better, to allow me to go little lower
