  • What are the more common "hard to find" parts out there for the GTR?

What I mean by the more common "hard to find" parts is what do you have issues finding when it comes to normal wear and tear parts? Brake rotors, front or rear axles, ect... Stuff like that.

I know with most things like suspension or brakes you might as well just upgrade if things break or need replacing but sometimes that isn't always an option...

front axles always seem to be rather rare. dash vents always go pretty quick. n1 spats and pretty much all n1 parts go quick. gtr front bumpers are at a premium. theres lots more. you can always find what you need its just a matter of how much youre willing to pay

      Bodyparts are OEM or aftermarket.

Driveshaft's = driveshaft shop for custom stronger aftermarket option (I think there's a driveshaft shop near New York somewhere that makes upgraded axles for GTR, forget name).

Brake rotors = Brembo replacement, DBA, ProjectU, Endless, Stoptech (USA for upgraded brakes, not sure if they do stock replacement), etc. I think you can fit spacers for calipers and run bigger 350Z, etc brakes (calipers, rotors, custom brake hoses, etc) on R32 GTS-T, not sure about R32 GTR.

Other parts = local cars that share similar factory parts.

Brake master cylinder, can use Qualitee International brand (can use 300zx on non ABS R32 GTS-T or R32 GTR if remove ABS like with N1 R32 GTR racecar, which 300Z brake master cylinder is similar internally to R34 GTR brake master cylinder). I think can buy through Summit Racing equipment (I think they sell Qualitee International brand, just have to know part number).

Gaskets (if can't buy Nissan repair gasket kit) can be bought aftermarket from ACL, Permaseal, Cometic, HKS, Tomei (metal intake gaskets vs factory that I think are paper type), etc.

ARP for head studs, manifold studs, etc (factory is usually better for exhaust studs, but ARP might have a product to suit or can custom make to order).

Bottomend bearings from ACL (Calico Coating in US coated, as Nismo bearings are coated bearings).

Valve springs, retainers, valve guides, oversized valves, etc from Supertech in I think is California?

Diffhead internals (I think Nismo) are from a company in USA (forget name) who makes LSD's.

Upgraded RB28 or custom stock replacement bottomend parts from Scat in California (crank, conrods).

Pistons, take your pick CP, Ross, etc.

Darton for sleeves, custom CNC deck plate for RB30 or RB28.

Gearbox = 300ZX (bearings, seals, synchro's, etc), ask others where to buy the kit in USA. Or can fit US made gearbox from Liberty (manual shifted or airshifted for dragracing, can handle a 1600awhp, 7.5sec R32 GTR) that bolts up to stock transfer case or Holilnger gearbox, PPG dogbox internals (for stock gearbox) from Australia.

NTN, Nachi, and few other Japanese bearing manufacturers make wheel bearings, hub bearings (Nachi top, use stock lower bearing and replacement arm from Nissan), CAS bearings (NTN), etc. Just need to check part number, manufacturer on side of bearing and compare to what's in catalogue.

You probably could build the engine, etc in USA without sourcing many foreign parts.

Between you guys here on GTRC and SOA I figured I'd have no issues sourcing out parts when the time comes

Thanks for all the info, I'll have to do some research on the front axles. Thats the one part that has me curious lol

Poly or solid transmission and motor mounts seem to be non-existent. I might make some.

Good adjustable front upper control arms.

Why might as well? stock set up on the GTS-whatever, GT-T and GTR's are more then enough for most of the posers err users on here. Unless you got like a R32 GTS or GXI no real need to upgrade.
Either way your average stuff like break components, suspension, ignition and the like are super easy to find with lots of options to choose from.
Things like rubber trim can be tricky, p/w regulators, and OEM windshields (i mean OEM not ones that fit to spec, but ones with built in antenna) things like that but if your car is mint you might not need to ever replace that stuff. and like gtrjon said the vents but i mean if you have them dont play around with them and they wont break.
Real Skyline owners have lost at least one to a freakish accident (*- ω -) = #dungive'a

You're welcome. HKS did make upgraded shaft's for GTR, but not sure if they sell them anymore.

This is the place for Nissan driveshaft's in USA (can't find the New York shop, might have been NC, not NY) -

I noticed they make driveshaft's for AMS R35GTR, etc (I assume custom made), as don't have them on website -
