Whats the biggest cooler core that is safe to use without a fear of loosing to much oil pressure? Also when installing a cooler how much more oil should be used to compensate for a bigger system, or is there any extra oil added at all?

With stock oilpump, stock heat exchanger Nismo don't go bigger than 13 row with GTR (look at PDF links) -

Also they use -12 hoses to prevent loss of oilpressure due to resistance. I think most aftermarket Japanese made oilcooler kits use -10 hoses, 13 row cores.

If engine doesn't have stock heat exchanger you would fit a bigger oilcooler core to suit. Also same applies if engine has more hp than stock.

You add more oil. You can prime oilcooler core, hoses with oil before starting engine via removing CAS plug and turning engine over (might need an extra battery just in case battery goes flat). Same way you prime new turbo's with oil before starting engine. Some fill turbo's with oil before fitting to engine (most have their own way to do the same thing) so bearings aren't dry.

But need to clear CAS error code on ECU afterwards via I think pulling negative off battery, pressing brake pedal to activate tail light's to remove any left over charge and reconnecting negative on battery. Or use Nissan's Consult or Nistune tuning software + Consult cable to remove CAS error code.

I use a 6 row and when I beat on the car in summer, it doesn't go over 85C. You don't need a huge core for street

Most cores are 12 to 13 row i just got a free core with 19 rows. Its quite big. I am running the stock heat exchanger I believe, but i am running an N1 pump. The reason for me asking was just to see if using the core is going to be an issue or if its fine for me to use. I realize a 19 row cooler would be completely overkill for street but i did receive it for free. Thanks!
