New GTR purchase

So with the sale of my 02 WRX pending I am now starting my investigation into purchasing an R32 GTR. Current plans for the car would be just to drive and enjoy it no big mod plans any time soon until the wallet can support it fully. So information I am looking for are any serious flaws the have from stock that could cause complete engine failure and leave the car useless without dropping thousands into it. Also any distinctive markers that can point towards the car seeing serious abuse in the past. Things that should be checked/replaced right after purchase. Pretty much any advice you have to offer to a new owner. This will be purchased through an importer unless I come across one on here from a reputable member. Want to do the time and do everything I can to avoid a lemon purchase like my WRX was (first car I bought) Lastly any suggestions on a good insurance company? Have a sentra as well so this wouldn't see any winter driving.

Try State Farm for insurance, mine is like 60 a month
