If you stretch your budget about $100 more you can get a set of cusco zeros.

Be a man and go Moton or AST. BEst of the best. I think their high end ones are around $1000

          Each.
          No build thread.

I have HSD monos and I'm satisfied with them. Great price for what you get. Mind you I do not track the car, it's a summer weekend car.

I just got a set of TEIN Comfort Sport. I like them a lot. Great for DD. Have not used them on Track yet.

There are not a lot of options in that price range as most of the Japanese brands are closer to, or over, $2000.
In your price range the HSDs are a great choice, they are well made, perform well, and everyone I've sold them to as been happy with them.
There are Teins around the same price range as well, again same thing, they perform well and are good quality.
Keep in mind these coilovers are mainly meant for street use, with some weekend tracking. If that is your primary use for them, you will be happy with either choice.

I would strongly recommend to only purchase new coilovers. Used coilovers are generally a bad idea as they could be on their way out, or already blown. You will not know until they are on your car, and then would be out a pocketful of cash.
