Black smoke/injector seals

Hey guys, my car is running terrible. Hard to rev passed 3k, black smoke sometimes. Intermittent power, choking, bucking, sputtering. All the verbs you can think of. When i turn my key to the on position and the rail pressurizes i can see fuel seeping out around the injectors. I've ordered a set of seals, I'm just curious if the black smoke could be caused by the bad injector seals. I guess I can only speculate until I install new ones.

black smoke means excess fuel, rich, not fuel leak. The fuel leak was there before. take your maf out and brake clean it. if you cant drive it at all, check intake pipes, maybe blew an interccoler pipe off.

ok good to know, any aftermarket injectors that will fit and are the same flow and duration as the stock injectors? must i buy s/h?

also i should mention, is their any possibility of the injector resistor pack being faulty causing the injectors to open when they shouldnt be? ie, when priming as gas comes out around the lower seal.

Nah, wouldn't be ballast causing leaks because it works or doesnt (fuel or no fuel). Might be a bit more leaky on prime since its just building up not being injected. You need new injectors. Buy new ones and retune or used stockers.

thanks nismo, i will buy a set of stockers until i can afford to get a nistune set up and retune for some aftermarket ones.
