Hey guys I heard people say that you can put Z32 MAFs on the rb26 air intake to gain more airflow and hence more power. I also heard someone say R35 MAFs work too. I was hoping someone could verify whether these mods work or not, and if anyone has heard of other mods like those that dont necessarily use GTR parts would be awesome. I'm just curious to what's out there. Another example would be an upgraded Z32 clutch master cylinder paired with an Exedy twin plate clutch to help it feel more forgiving, like your shifting a brand new car. Any advice/info would be great.

Where the extra hp comes from when upgrading MAF's, is tuner can accurately add the correct amount of fuel, ignition timing for air entering engine.
MAF x2 on RB26 are upgraded when the MAF voltage maxes out and this can be seen on ECU. Stock R32 GTR MAF's can max above 400hp at engine with stock R32 GTR turbo's (if stock turbo's are in good condition and done low km), basic boost up mods.
Stock R32 GTR RB26 engine can easily reach 390hp (if in good condition, done low km) with a mild boost up, removal of restrictions (full exhaust from turbo's, boost controller, ECU, panel fiter in stock airbox). Can extract more hp with stock injectors (stock injectors are around 480cc when flow tested and 1cc is roughly 1hp) by fitting bigger lph Nismo or tuner fuel pump (including hard wiring fuel pump to get the 13.5+ volts it needs to flow the lph as advertised), raising boost level more, but 390hp is where you would start to look at upgrading fuel pump, injectors, upgrading to Z32 MAF's + wired in Z32 plug x2.
Those mods set engine up for bigger turbo's, Tomei metal headgasket, Tomei metal intake gasket's, etc (most do a engine rebuild to fix the short oil pump drive problem and do internal mods, etc).Last edited by Skym; 09-26-2013, 04:11 AM.RESPONSE MONSTER
