frustrated with r32 door locking

hey guys, i was having this issue where the lock switch on the drivers door wouldnt push in flush to the door stopping the drivers door from locking but the passengers side still locked. ive since removed the panel and adjusted the bell crank, i now have it so that i can lock it from the inside but it still somehow unlocks when i pull the outside door handle and i cant lock it with the key either. what the hell could it be? Ive also noticed that when i turn the key to lock it the passengers side locks a few times automatically then stops.

if you are locking it from the inside then closing the door, you need to lift up the outside handle while closing the door.

good to know but why is that ? another question, why can i only lock a few times using my key then it stops working or is it made like that?

The holding the handle up thing is normal. I was having the same issues with my drivers door not locking or "sitting flush" .
Didn't seen to fully engage, manually or with my keyless remote. I adjusted everything like you did, no luck.
I replaced the latch unit, all better. It's the unit inside the door at the back.
