Thanks everyone! It's good to be back! Thanks for the support and the props! My car was in storage for a year and a half, it was torture... Unfortuately I don't have a garage to work in anymore, but I do have secure parking and a shop I can trust, so The project is back on, but will be slower....
I've been busy moving and doing alot of traveling! I did happen to make it to Germany and race three laps on Nurburgring!!!! I also stumbled through the 200th Anniversary Oktoberfest in Munich!! I was not able (nor was I ready) to drive a skyline on the ring... If there's interest I can start a thread on the Pricing, schedules, open track times, race car rentals and liability. It took a few months on research and a bit of luck to figure out but I did it and it only cost me about $400 for the basic race car, two laps with an instructor(1 without, and didnt have time for the fourth), insurance, fuel and tires! And I was fortunate enough to arrive at the track when team Nissan arrived and shut the track down to race with their 8 race prepped R35's and 350Z's
So for the parts I have coming are....
-electronic cooling fan
-nismo Thermostat
-Samco Rad hoses
-ATI Dampner
-oil cooler and relocate kit (already installed will add pics)
-cooling fan for trunk
-reflective heat tape to make heat sheid around Exhaust
-HKS dump pipes
-Stereo......I will put back in 2 speakers and a deck cause I miss my tunes... Dont worry In a few years when I have a shop built I'm starting from scratch and gutting the car back to the frame, stitch weld the chassis, finish the car and race prep it, and bring it to Nurburgring!!
So my first concerens as you can see it to be ready for the extra heat that BC has compared to Alberta.
I would like some help with the dumpipes.... Before I bring it to the shop and waste time twice, can I change the Dump pipes from the bottom of the car, or does the intake piping above the turbo's need to be removed? If they do I'll probably end up changing the headers out then to, I just wanted to wait to finish off the intake piping at the same time as the headers for the next time at the shop. Unfortunatly I cant just work on it when ever I feel like it anymore....
So what type of headers does everyone recomend to use to stay with the stock turbos? I am planning on buying the Tomei Expreme's but I dont think there equal length.... does that matter with the car's firing order? I have seen these OBX headers and they look equal length, but I have never heard of them.... opinions??
My car will be in BC at the end of June so look for me in July at the autocrosses here and there in Kelowna and the drifting in Pentiction
