        • Nice engine bay! Looks stock too, aside from a few things like 800cc sard squirters, oil filter relocation and a "nismo?" catch can. Just on the down low tho, I was 99% sure nismo didn't have a catch can, only the oil separator. Nice and clean anyways
          No build thread.

            • your car sounds great

but no offence though, take this as constructive criticism perhaps, but your engine bay looks like ass dude, its like one of those cheap $8000 gtr's

you've already spent that much money on it, whats a few hundred more for a proper set of matching oem nur spark plug and cam timing cover?

and maybe get it steam cleaned and detailed

He's had it sitting since november last year. It's more about how it runs over how it looks right now.

Rofl, it was a catchcan I had stuck a nismo sticker Adam had sent me on. I wanted it to look a bit nicer. I've since scrapped the catch can and those heater hoses running to it. It just runs a hose out the back of the car, no catch can. **** it. It looks a bit nicer now. I will tidy it up but there isn't much point until my Djetro comes in and I have to rewire everything anyways. Right now I just want the car to run right, then I'll worry about how tidy it looks...

As for the centre piece, nissan wants 250 for the gold centre cover. I will go to a paintshop and have mine painted to match and I have the r34 ornament cover ready to install once that is done. As I said, I want the car to run right....

Today I discovered a ruptured fuel line coming from the pump =\ Damnit.
Will be trying to replace that without dropping the fuel tank.

                  • Ruptured fuel line. That could be why it runs like crap.

Also, dont try to take the easy way out. I tried that with my car and it's been nothing but problems.

                    • Was a joke replacing the fuel lines... You could access the clamps before the tank and just feed them back to the fuel pump and then bolt them up in the trunk. Very easy, didn't have to drop the fuel tank at all...

I have a feeling however, this is what killed the old motor.

I replaced the return line as well while I was at it. I think I need a new coil pack wiring harness as well. Seems like mine has kicked the bucket. I am losing a cylinder sometimes... =\ But the car drives pretty good now...aside from the annoying shuffle... and losing the occasional cylinder from time to time lol. As a temporary fix I'm gonna remove the coil cover to try and keep the temps lower.

                      • Hey, I never told you I purchaced a brand new fuel tank and filler neck with gaskets and stuff from Adam a while back did I? It's still sitting in the box, LoL.

You should make some stainless steel braided lines for you fuel lines. I think nissan uses a higher pressure fuel line than what Lordco sells.

They might use a higher pressure line, but not higher fuel pressure than what the lordco line can handle.

Ryan, can I borrow your coils? I'm trying to figure out something =\

Wanna borrow my turbo while your at it?

Did you ground out the igniter pack? Have you double checked all of your grounds?

                            • We noticed hte o2 sensor wiring was bunk, we fixed it. It fixed all the ignition problems except the turbo shuffle... now... read next paragraph We thought the timing might be off

Now here is good news! We decided to rip off the timing cover and check the timing, dead on... yay. So why is full retard still 20 advance? 2 things... The guy with the timing light read it wrong =\. Second thing, we didn't unplug the aac valve. So the computer was compensating to get 20 degrees advance.

Here is where it gets fun. We decide for fun after putting the timing cover back on to crank the CAS to the middle, where it should be... Go and drive the car and instantly it idled nicer and drove 15km/h much smoother and effortlessly than before. Here is the real test, we go to accelerate to 4k in second and there was :O NO TURBO SHUFFLE!!!!! None! Third gear, same thing, no shuffle... Car was driving so smooth, like butter... Amazing seriously. I guess the balance tube and good timing is really essential to getting rid of that shuffle. I can drive the car now :O omg. lol

There is VERY minor shuffle at crusing under heavier loads but you can barely feel it inside the car. You can barely hear it, about like the stock turbos...

I'll be posting a video of my 16 minute drive in the GTR after we got it running well...Wellish... Temperatures have cooled down greatly as well!!! 80-82C on highway, 82-90ish around town....This was on a hot day though,

                              STAY TUNED FOR A VIDEO!
