That would be amazing actually, I want to do both of those sometime before the UR. I am going to send out my valve/plug/cam covers for powdercoating so I'm hpoing to get my relocation done during that time.

as for the white LED bars... are they on all the time? fog lights? ... they look kinda cool, but maybe in person you're saying they look like what? cheap or something?... stand out too much?

the oil drains on our -5's are hell.... pure and simple hell... i don't know how you did that with the engine and turbos still in the car but koodos to you man. lol... + rep if this were MTLracing lol!!

as for the hicas... does that tomei lock do it electrically or mechanically or both?

to diasble hicas electronically all you need to do is go into the trunk and cut i think its the yellow wire with green stripe on it (not 100% sure on the color) but its ONE wire that goes to the HICAS ecu under the rear parcel shelf....
go to autoworx and have haig weld your rear hicas junk shut... he`s done hundreds like that, its cheap, easy, and very reliable...

my hicas delete was the same thing... snip the wire in the trunk, remove the HICAS light bulb from gauge cluster, weld the rear rack in position, remove all associated hydraulic lines and fittings and junk, and lastly get car re-aligned. best bang for buck imo.

glad to see you're still keepin' on, for a while there i was worried you were losing hope! lol
Thanks my friend! Im getting them mounted tomorrow morning, and needless to say, i'm stoked lol. I ended up selling my old wheels as well as the old advans i had kicking around, so it didnt cost me very much to make the switch.. well worth it for me since these are the wheels i have always dreamed about having on it. They're not exactly light or anything, but I'll look into grabbing a set of ssr's or something for the track when the time comes.

Regarding the LED bars, they have really grown on me. Right now they act as drl's, and are on all the time, but I am going to wire them up to the foglight buttom on the dash so i have the option of turning them off. They're real bright and look nice when they're lit up. I may eventually open them up and paint the housing black though, to make them more subtle during the day.

Lol that drain was no fun at all... Basically it took a few hours of improvising and me yelling loud MOTHERFUCKERS every so often, but it was rewarding lol. I was so nervous to break the pipe when i was bending it lol.

For the hicas, the tomei lock does it both ways. First, it requires you to enter hicas diagnostic mode in order to shim the tierod ends so theres no play, then you solder in the electronic disabler unit. It actually fools the hicas ecu into thinking the hicas is functioning properly so you dont get any lights or codes. Then you can remove all the lines and whatnot. the problem is i think haig might have cut that wire already, but I havent had the time to check it out because ive been away, but the car wont go into diag mode... therefore making it impossible to shim the tierod ends properly. Will ask haig to check it out when i do my 02's.

Haha I just dont have the heart to let this thing go. I dont think I ever will now, I have too much planned and no real reason to sell it. This one's a keeper.

I like it because they are pure white led , not some ugly yellow coloring light. #2, from those pictures, the fit seems perfect, not like mostof the fog that you can see where they drill because they don't fit the whole hole . i.e: round fog.

So tonight I worked on getting the return hose for the catch can done... the one that T's into the rear turbo drain. I wish I would have taken pics of this, but I was too frustrated. I must warn anyone with bigger than stock turbos that this kit is designed for stock size turbines. Nismo includes an OEM turbo drain in the kit that has an extra pipe welded on for the catch can drain. Not only to the mounting holes need to be grinded out to fit, but i had to heat up the said pipe as well and bend it because it didnt clear the bigger housing on my -5's. got it all working in the end though.. just another hassle.

On another note, my car wont go into HICAS diagnostic mode... Its as if the hicas is disabled, but if i go over 80km/h my steering wheel turns to the right. I was trying to activate diag. mode to install y tomei hicas lock kit. any ideas?

Had a little bit of fun tonight... Wasn't a success imo, but was worth a try nonetheless. I picked up a set of good quality bumper led bars from ebay, for a really good price, figuring i had nothing to lose. I spent a couple hours installing them today and here's the result. Not what i hoped for, but what the hell.

Dremeled out the back of one of the vents

    *Skips all the boring *****

And finally, got them mounted. This was the second one, it came out alot better than the first. Whatever, my bumper is scrap anyway so i did a little R&D.

Heres the bar just sitting in the vent, not mounted yet

    And finally,

    poop
