Got another small order of stuff the other day... This build is really nearing completion of phase one of my project... phase two being my ultimate, final goal.

    So I rec'd, thanks to Daryl @ Tunerlab.jp:

    Nismo Rad Cap

    New OEM Throttle Position Sensor

    Tomei HICAS lock II

And finally, a nismo oil separator kit.... Worth the money? maybe not.. but I will eventually be running a dual catch can setup so this will be a necessary component of my setup. I think for the price they ask for it, they could have at least baffled the catch tank, but I may just do that on my own. It definitely is a nice unit though.

Here's how the install went.. easy as pie.

first i removed the middle breather hose and the hose that goes to the intake

Then, I capped off the hose that goes to the intake.

Then the kit requires you to T into the middle breather with a supplied T. I find this setup makes the most sense out of any catch tank setup i have seen.

Here's how it looks hooked up. The top line goes back to the rear intake to serve as a vacuum source. Its comes with a mounting bracket that secures to the power steering reservoir mounts.

I heatshielded the drain hose (heat shield included) which T's into the rear turbo oil drain line. T included as well. I may have went overkill on it, but i wanted to be thorough lol.

Here's how the finished product looks. There's still one line i have left.. the one for the oil drain. I need to do this at my buddy's shop because I need a long extension to get in there.

And finally, here's how my engine bay looks for now. The blue samco rad hose really sticks out like a sore thumb for now, but eventually all of the red and most of the black will be gone. My next wheels will be bronze XD-9's, so valve covers and etc will be powdercoated to match. The overall theme will be Bronze/Polished/Blue.

List of things to do... for personal reference as well lol
    Relocate battery to trunk
    Relocate wiper reservoir to trunk
    Coilovers
    XD-9's
    Trust Suction kit
Find new MAF sensor... if anyone has one, let me know.
    Replace o2 sensor(s)

Stay tuned, Hicas lock going in on thursday

Franki - Couldnt find out part number on there. They have a 300zx one which is supposed to fit one of ours but we'd still need another.

and I'm not one to try to skimp out and cut costs, but I'm not paying 800$+ for o2 sensors, thank you very much

Thanks for the input... I definitely agree with you considering how hot the exhaust side gets..

still no specific response from VUK @ AMS... im gonna give them a call this week i think and see what the deal is, cause the pricing on those is great, if all i need to do is clip and re-solder a new plug, im down with that.

the problem there is that OEM o2 sensors are about 250 bucks lol, maybe more. lol

Josh, let me know what you come up with... I'm going to do some searching of my own and see if i can find rb26 specific sensors without getting too expensive.

hey guys, so i shot an email to VUK @ AMS to ask about the fitment issue... he says yes his O2 sensors are intended for 300ZX and will need some modification to fit to the RB26, he said theres an article on how to do it on GTRc (here) but i couldnt find it....

are we certain its only a wiring issue? cause that would be a SUPER easy fix... but arent the wires for the O2 sensor specially shielded? which would mean cutting, splicing and soldering would create background noise in the circuit and do more harm than good.

im gonna call AMS monday and clarify the issue, unless he emails me back before i call.

ill keep everyone updated here, in the mean time if anyone can find a link to the supposed thread on GTRc about the how to, please post it.

and Ty and anyone else in the MTL area who would want one, if the mod is easy enough when the time comes to order, ill shoot u guys a text and we'll all save on shipping.
