I own a 1990 gts-t but had an unfortunate incident last year. I got a little too greedy with the boost and spiked 20psi on the rb20:hit newb: For about 30 seconds it was really fast, then the plugs blew up and wrecked everything else. So now I am doing the only logical thing... a ful RB26DETT swap:

RB25 tranny (maybe RB26)

Garrett 2860-5 twin turbo
Profec BII boost controller
Jun Cams and Gears
Greddy oil catch can
3" turbo to cat delete 4" to HKS super dragger

Greddy fmic
HKS bov
hard pipe kit

Lots of other stuff I just can't think of all of it right now.

My goal for this project is 500whp at 1.5 bar!

If anyone is in the abbotsford area feel free to stop by The Skyline Shop and check out the build as it goes down! But dont hate on the body I bought the car from a guy here who did care for the car worth $H!+ Might get the body redone too then who knows.

Well so far I have done all my work through them and my experiences have been really good. The car was originally purchased through them also so they know everything about this car already including all the work I did to the rb20. I will be monitoring the build too so hopefully it won't be too long.

Ask anyone who has had there motor built by TSS just how long it took. It's unreal how long and wrong some of the builds take.

that same owner got Said motor rebuilt again and it lasted another 50 kms, no not 50,000..... Five Zero kms.

One of their customers just picked up his car they had for 2 years. He spent 80+ and it still want finished. Plus there is a TON of parts missing that he was charged for. I get it next month to tear it down and fix the driveline cause its seriously F'ed. They are NOT trustworthy in anyway.

I'd listen to the masses bud, I'd personally go to Z-tune. Or just about anywhere else first.

But anyways, g/l with the build however it plays out, sounds like it should be a nice car, i just suggest a beefier boost controller.

Well, I guess everyone has an opinion. I have done some research on a lot of places and being as the car originated from TSS and I have dealt with them since buying the car I have no problem giving them the work. No matter what shop you talk about SOMEONE has something bad to say about them. As for the mentioned vehicles there is always something behind the scenes...

hahah, theres a difference between having someONE say bad things about a shop.. and a WHOLE FORUM worth of people saying bad things about a shop.

skyline shop sucks BALLS. period.

my friend is still waiting on those "DOT legal" headlights from TSS.

do what you want with your car and your money, just try not to post about how you got owned by the skyline shop WHEN it happens, not if.

because we will all be here laughing our asses off and not feeling sorry for you one bit, because everyone here gave you warnings already but you are deciding to go ahead with it anyways :-D

I know its a old thread but I heard a story about amonth ago - guy had his engine being built at TSS and was wondring why it was taking so long,TSS kept telling him they were waiting on parts from Japan but in reality the threw a stock engine in the car and had been driving it around for months. This guy who reported it actually had pictures of the car drving around. needless to say TSS denied all the accusations. I atually think he is still waiting for it. I took my car to Ztune to have the engine built, EVERY SINGLE PERSON who works there is awsome to deal with and their reputation is rock solid. If I had to do it again I would snd my car there in a second.
Once I found out Andrew detonated his engine to the point of failure (on purpose) on the dyno, drove it to the shop, pulled the engine, rebuilt it,and had it back in and running in less then 26 hours - I knew thats exactly where I wanted my car to be built.

Anyone that purposefully ruins an engine is sick but also a wizard for rebuilding it so fast lol. You got your engine built there, was your break-in there too? tuning? Please PM me some details as I'm on the fence about builders, though Ztune is not first on the list as the only shop to supply prices and friendliness.

I'm the one they "rebuilt" the engine for. It lasted 1 month and blew up. They didn't come through on their warranty, so beware I guess.
