erm, not sure, but i think all the A31's with rb20's and no hicas use the same pump.

        update ....again:

picked up my new daily driver from the docks on friday!

heres a link to the thread on it if you are interested.

1991 Skyline GT-R parts Location: Abbotsford bc Tec Nismo look rear quarter add on $110 Cusco front upper strut tie bar $50 GTR Transmission $350 Clutch Master $40 Clutch slave $35 Brake Master $50 Power steering reservoir $30(each front or rear) Best means of contact will be text msg, email or call. 604

anyways, back on track.. i started on the final, and the biggest step of this stage of modification for my car today.

got the rad, fan and injectors out, started working on getting the intake manifold off, but then it started to thunder and epic mega rain so i had to stop... was working on the surf earlier too so didnt have much time on the gtr today

        the to do list:

-Tomei metal gasket kit (intake mani/throttle/head/exhaust mani) gaskets
        -Tomei Poncam Type B (260deg/9.15mm lift in/ex)
        -Tomei turbo outlet pipes
        -Tomei Reytec + tune
        -R33 N1 turbos
-Port out the stock exhaust manifolds and get them ceramic coated
        -Sard 660cc injectors
        -Sard fuel rail
        -Sard Racing BOV
        -Remove complete hicas system
        -Non hicas p/s pump
        -Remove complete AC system
-Garage Defend GT CF cooling panel
        -Samco rad hoses
        -Silicone coolant hoses
        -Tabata S2 radiator
        -Billion 65* thermostat
        -Radiator breather tank
-Timing belt, and idler/ tensioner pullies
        -Water pump
        -N1 oil pump

basically, its just a mild upgrade from stock, i want it to run a reliable 400ish whp, cleaning up a bunch of clutter and useless stuff i dont want in the engine bay.

i also tend to do alot of preventative stuff... mostly cuz im too lazy to have to rip everything apart again if something needs changing later on. the next time ill probably work on this is hopefully when my new forged motor is built, then i can just do a simple RE/RE... see, lazy.

ps: ...how the hell do you guys take progress pics? im always too zoned out on working on the car to remeber to take pics, that and my hands are always dirty so i dont want to touch my camera...

pics when everything is done i guess lol.

That thunderstrom was wicked. Never seen anything like it in my life. Every 15 to 20 seconds another strike of lightning. One was so close that the thunder set off my mom's car alarm.

That thunder storm was going from 6:00pm all the way to after 10:00. I drove to the liquor store last night at around 9:30 pm, I felt like I was driving in Bagdad watching the flashes of bomb going off from two streets over.

Main part of this story is, well...car ports suck!

Also, you may need a crane to get the a/c compressor out. It's a heavy son of a b*tch.

As for pictures, I'm always like, "I gotta take a picture of this." And I usually end up washing my hands, looking for the camera, it's actually quite distracting. Probably why I don't get much done on my car. I can come by and take pic for you while your working on it. I can even sit in my car across the street taking pics to make it look/feel like you've got some super secret information that the government is trying to get their grubby hands on.

damn thats one nice little list you got goin in there right now.

and i know exactly what you mean with the pics. i've done a fair bit of work the last week and i've only got a few quick cell pics to show of it. I always find my self after the fact thinking hmm should have taken more pics. oh well.

haha yeah totally.. pictures of dirty greasy messy engine bays arent all that exciting anyways...

                however.. having said that:

as much of a PITA as the RB26 is to work on, i rather enjoy it

that and i have a phobia of letting other people touch my cars... unless its for stuff i cant do myself like tuning.. doesnt mean im not paranoid when they are tuning my car though.

                haha

also started porting on a pair of spare stock manifolds i had kicking around, got one done, probably get around to doing the other tomorrow, and then its off to get ceramic coated.

hopefully ill have the exhaust side stripped tomorrow too, then i can pull the head and then start putting everything back together! woo!

I dropped by Derek's house today to pick up a muffler and this is what I found...

LoL, he was working on his car when I dropped by.

I love this picture. It really shows how wide these rims are.

And of course I couldn't stop drooling over the rims.

Those wheels and tires have seen the track. There is little balls of rubber melted to the tires.

OH and btw, after trying out your shifter I think you could probably make a shift gate for it. I found it extremely sharp and firm, like there was no way you could miss a gear with that thing. And it was straight every shift, even fifth!

                        haha thanks ryan

                        so there you go!

                        more progress pics!

as you can see... its getting pretty bare in there lol, ive removed all A/C and HICAS bits in the engine bay, still got the hardlines and the rear hicas rack, but ill worry about that later, thats pretty much all of the removing theres gonna be, its about time to start putting crap back in, woo! fun part!

now i just need to track down a pressure washer and clean the engine bay before the assembly of things actually begin.... cannot.. stand.. dirty.. enginebay!

oh and i remounted the horns and completely hid all of the HID wiring now, wont be able to tell its got HID's unless i turn them on

Aside from the Boost meter being in-front of the gauge cluster (Just a personal thing that I cant stand).
This is one of the sexiest / cleanest R32's I've ever come across. I wish I had half the skills to do that all on my own. I love all the little details that might not cost a ton but just make the car tidy and extremely well done.

                              WoW....Well done

                                haha, thank you kindly sir

yeah, some people don't like where i put the boost gauge, but eh, works good for me, doesnt block much of the cluster, it only covers 8500RPM and up, and i think from 0-60km/h, so firstly... i dont rev past 8500, and i dont really care how fast im going if its below 60 anyways, i usually just follow the pace of traffic when im driving normally...come to think of it, i hardly ever look at the speedo haha, i know when im speeding, and i dont really want to find out how fast im actually going

                                woooo... thread revival!

its still sitting in the car port... nothing new yet

well, i got the head back on. small update i guess:

                                Cosworth 1.2mm metal Head gasket
                                ARP 2000 Headbolts
Head was decked blah blah etc.

been too wet outside to work on the car lately... or too cold.. or i was just too lazy in general haha.

my Nismo Group A turbos just got shipped a couple weeks, so they probably wont be here till the end of the month.

hoping to have it done by April though!
