  • Sleeper Showcar.

Instead of painting my car multicolor, getting a widebody or big carbon hood with every carbon parts you can get. I prefer to keep my exterior the most sleeper possible as well as my interior. This is because I don't want to get more police/theft attention and I think it's harder to maintain an OEM look than buying everything aftermarket.

Here's some pic of the car, after my detail.

Next mod will be interior light and replace my HKS TYPE-1 TT for a greddy one.

hey buddy, great car the paint on your car is superb!

as far as the "sleeper" look goes.. im doing the same thing.. i really don't like a lot of carbon, ducting, and wings.....

like, if i have a thousand $ to drop on something, its not even a question for me...

"umm carbon hood? orrrrr maybe a set of coil-overs? exhaust? intake? new ball joints tie-rods? N1 water pump? hell yah!"

I already have some engine dressing. I just need to choose the good paint.Might buy a carbon air diversion just to dress up the engine.

My interior is pretty much done. Gauges, unique custom seat, couple momo goodie, R34 v-spec pedal and shifter.. etc etc.

I will need to start working on a Figerglass trunk and put some Coil-Over!

                  nice clean car man

i find it funny though how some of us call this a sleeper look. i don't think it's possible for a GTR to be a sleeper, technically speaking. i don't think anyone who pulls up beside one knowing what it is will think it's slow.

Compared to all those JDM with FREAKIN LOUD exhaust, carbon hood, vented hood/fender, flashy super large tires, racing seat, sponsor sticker, I think I can admit my car is more sleeper ''OEM-lookin''.

I'm sorry. GTRs aren't really sleepers. Skylines are only sleepers when someone KNOWs they're GTSTs.

There is a difference to sleeper and a stock car with new seat covers, rims, a weak looking Sounds system, and nismo sticker over the head light . . . what mods have been done to the car to make it sleeper what is your HP number? And i understand the path your taking with the car but its not a sleeper when its a stock GTR w/ no true power adders (exhaust and Intake don't count) . . . .just my .02$

Not to be a total hater, I love the sock look of a GTR . . . . but the mods done to your car are the average mods the everyday ricer will do to a civic, its when you go further beyond that line of thinking do you really get to understand what you have in your car and what a GTR can do for you!

Track it once and you'll see what i mean!
GL w/ the rest of the build.

^kinda agree with the guy above. A sleeper car is usually based of a vehicle that is particularly slow in the first place, looks like poop etc. Your more maintaining an oem look with the plans for high HP numbers. Trust me, tons of people try this approach and end up caving in. It starts with saying you just want some nismo shells, or rear spats... Why not get some new rims to match? Then your thinking a nicer exhaust would compliment the car. Then you want some interior accents ie. steering wheel, pedals etc. And when your pushing high numbers and start leaning off your seat, you want to get some racing seats to hold you in. I can go on and on, bottom line is its a plague among these cars, face it, your gonna catch it soon enough.

But to say the least I am jealous of your car, LOVE black gtr's

As for performance, please give me times. I'm only 19yr.

I know sleeper wasn't the right word but how would you describe this car then?

theres a difference between someone doin i/e on a civic and a skyline. civic owners usually use cheap garbage and we tend o go with brand names like hks or greddy, but its still basic mods.
