did u get that CF panel of NelsonMX by any chance?
I think if you wanna give it a flat finish PM NelsonMX, he makes that stuff at his company and will probably be able to tell you how to achieve the finish u want.

So, I decided to pull out my rear diff for some upgrades now rather than drive down to Red Deer and have a shop do the removal too (while having to remove the front drive shaft to go down thanks to different front/rear ratio differences). So I got discouraged when it came to dropping the diff after the shafts and mounts were all disconnected, only to find more nasty misery bolts connectors and hoses above for the atessa components. Soo Velders, once again convinced me of rolling the dice. We dropped the rear sub frame.

Started looking easier as things went.

Felt like a dummy after cause it looked stupid to do, it wasn't the beer, really haha.

And then the diff popped out. Toughest part was cracking the seized bolts all around and then seeing the bad bushings... need an upgrade kit now. Diff's ready to go to the shop for the upgrades!

I also received my gauge panel today though I didn't expect it to have such a reflective finish to it.. Had hoped for a flat finish. We'll see how it goes.

Ah thanks for the props! I finally got the engine back. 1 year, 1 month later lol. Safely anyways. Andrew rented an SUV and made a road trip out of it. Even got rear ended haha.

    then off to my home

took the turbos and intake side off for powder/ceramic coatings now.

Just gotta send the Nismo/tomei bits to the fab guy for more bungs (EGT/ wideband/ water meth) and then they're off to the powder specialist for a clean finish.

going back to work tomorrow so it's back on the quiet side for 8 days. Wife is due in 6 weeks so that's another wrench in the production wheel. I did also receive my rear OSG differential and oils today along with my GOpro HD LCD bacpac. Was getting sick of guessing how my pictures turned out... till now.

Here's some more project stuff lol, the important one cause cars are only toys. It's a lot of work setting up this stuff cause there's many hidden costs but also many choices when it comes to safety.

    My new "wheels" LMAO

If you looking for the rack bushings. Theyre $10 at mopac for the energy suspension units. Much cheaper than the nismo.

My Family is coming to visit me on the 18th of March by the sounds of things. If you can figure out insurance, they can get your motor in Lethy. Andrews shop is just around the corner from my place anyways.

Another quick update. Since I'm replacing my ignition coils, I decided to deleted my ignition transistor pack today (AKA ignitor). I didn't want to chance issues with simple butt splices or solder so I used to Deutsch which I believe are some of the best connectors out there.

I did a quick cheater cord in case I decide to spend a bit extra time on the dyno to log the benefits and do quick swaps with the OEM harness/coils.

A short update. Received a differential in the mail (heavy, ouch!) to scavenge parts out of it.

Started taking apart the diff in my car and by the time I had it all ready (so I thought), I realized there was still all the Atessa stuff on top that wasn't ready to go (hoses, wirings, mounts) that appeared really nasty to get at. Decided to put it all back together and take it to a shop in the spring. I don't want to get in over my head with everything else I still have to do. This car's been in peices for the last year and I don't want it to take another year.

On the bright side, I've received some pictures of the lump. It's 1 year of MIA anniversary is just around the corner lol.

It still needs painting, along with lots and lots of work to get installed. I've been the laziest bugger about this car and it's time to get rolling.

I'm having some issues deciding were to put my accusump (thinking the trunk cause it won't really fit nicely/safely anywhere else. Also on the fence about a fuel anti-surge tank and twin pumps. By the time I'm running this summer, I think my only weak point is my gearbox.

PS, how you like mah oil pan?

the only thing holding up the engine is shipping now. Can't seem to get it insured. Anyone know trucking companies that do insurance? Engine is new put I cannot post insurance price.
