After talking it over with the wife and a good friend (and numerous facebook opinions LOL) I've decided to build the bottom end. Why not while it's out?!

wow your wife said to build up the bottom end, wish i had that support. Everyone around me thinks i'm nuts for dropping all this cash into the vehicle..... well except my buddy helping me of course, I think

I finally had some free time today to pull the crank. One of the bearings is grooved pretty badly but the crank doesn't show any signs of damage...

Slight update, sort of. In the upcoming weeks I'm going to be buying the crank collar, rods/pistons, oil pump, and bearings. I told my GF to cancel her order on the N1 oil pump after reading various horror stories, and will be buying a Nismo pump for a good price from a local guy. Can't wait to get the short block assembled!
